Description: Pieter began his career in the cruise industry, where he gained valuable experience and developed a strong passion for life at sea. Over time, he realized that he wanted a role that allowed him to spend more time outdoors and be more directly involved in vessel operations, while continuing to grow his engineering skills. This naturally led him into yachting, and he joined Guillemot in 2025.He enjoys both the technical side of the engine room and the hands-on nature of deck work.
Outside of his role on board, Pieter is active and adventurous, with a love for surfing, kitesurfing, tennis, skiing and snowboarding.
Travelling, discovering new places and meeting people from different cultures are also important parts of his life. His passion for sailing began with a classic 1966 sailboat, which he restored and sailed through Sweden, Finland and Poland before returning to the Netherlands, an experience that helped turn his hobby into a career.

Description: Emma is from the North of England and grew up on the waters of Lake Windermere as part of a passionate sailing family. She started her working life in Education as a House Mistress, and after five years there she was ready for a new adventure! Completing her STCW in 2023, Emma went on to gain a wide level of experience in fine dining, including a Michelin-starred restaurant and hotel before moving to Palma in the pursuit of a Stewardess position. Since then, she has worked on motor yachts up to 97m, trying to find her perfect vessel, and now as Chief Stewardess, Emma cannot wait to give you the best time on Guillemot!
Whilst it may have been a little while since she has sailed, she is keento get involved in the sailing aspect of Guillemot and the adrenaline that will bring! Emma is a bubbly character, whose main skills in service include coffees and cocktails, whilst also enjoying floral arranging. Overall, Emma loves interacting with guests and learning about different cultures. In her spare time, Emma enjoys reading and swimming at the beach, as well as spending time with her family who enjoy meeting up with her around the world on her leave. She also enjoys skiing, having just completed a winter season as a Chalet Host in Val d’Isere!

Description: Mark is from the south coast of England, and began his yachting career on dinghies and flotillas in Greece and Turkey. He has since spent 20 years as a Captain, at the helm of both sail and motor yachts of up to 60m in length.
During this time Mark has sailed the globe extensively. He has completed twelve trans-Atlantic crossings and has over 200,000 nautical miles under his proverbial hull, covering most areas of the Mediterranean Sea, northern European waters, and the Caribbean.
Mark too has sailed both the east and west coasts of the USA and the Pacific Ocean from Auckland to Panama, including three transits of the Panama Canal, as well as the Suez Canal and the Red Sea.
Most recently, a proud achievement in his sailing career was successfully rounding Cape Horn and a northbound South American passage from Chile to Uruguay.
Prior to obtaining his Captains’ license, Mark spent a decade involved in a shore-based yacht management company operating in the east Mediterranean.

Description: Josh moved to Antibes in 2009, with the plan to do a gap year before going home to start university in his home country of New Zealand, but then he fell into the yachting industry and hasn’t looked back since! After 17 years in the industry, Josh still loves that this job gives him the opportunity to experience adventures and sailing all around the world. He loves being part of a crew and gets excited about ocean crossings. He has been lucky enough to visit incredible far-off places during his time on deck. He has managed to cross the Atlantic and Indian Oceans and hopes to one day cross the Pacific.
During his career, Josh has worked in a variety of roles across motor and sailing yachts, though sailing is his passion, having worked aboard 25–60m sailing yachts. He even once worked as a Service Steward aboard a 60m motor yacht, but since 2013 he has been First Mate.
In his spare time, Josh loves to travel off the beaten track. He loves scuba diving and lived in Mozambique for 5 months as a Dive Master. He also loves trail running, having completed a multi-stage ultramarathon in Tanzania earlier this year. Josh’s love of the water also stems into water sports, enjoying wakeboarding and swimming in his downtime.

Description: Laura is originally from Melbourne, Australia and spent some time growing up in the Netherlands. She has a travel bug that has led her to live all over the world, including St Anton in Austria, Amsterdam and Morocco. She loves to surf and ski when she isn’t working onboard.
Laura loves to pitch in and get involved in sailing. She learnt the ropes last summer, where she sailed around Sardinia on a 30m Swan sailing yacht as a Deck/ Stew. She now comes to Guillemot with an eagerness to learn new skills, see new places and embrace the adventure.

Description: Tama is experiencing his first yachting position aboard Guillemot and is eager to learn new skills on deck and during sails. He joined us as a dayworker, and was instantly a great fit within the team, which led to him becoming our new permanent Deckhand.
Tama comes from New Zealand, and he is also half-American. He is very excited to see new parts of the world and explore everything that yachting has to offer. Since leaving school, Tama has been working in the construction industry for the last two years, specializing in civil drainage and carpentry. Tama loves keeping fit, andenjoys working out at the gym. He plays a lot of rugby, andwas a flanker for his school team. When he is at home, he is always by the water, enjoying jet skiing and fishing. He also does a lot of free diving when he is back in New Zealand.

Description: Anabel’s passion for the ocean, diving, travel and the culinary arts has allowed her to build a unique and fulfilling career that combines all the above. After graduating with Honors as a Chef in Vancouver over 25 years ago, she has further refined her skills at a Michelin-starred château in France.
In 2013, Anabel began her yachting career, bringing together her culinary expertise and experience as a dive instructor. Since then, her journey has taken her around the world, most recently completing an incredible voyage with Captain Mark from the Caribbean to South Africa, and then from the Caribbean to Gibraltar.
During her time ashore, Anabel enjoys caring for the gardens and ponds in her beautiful country home in Canada and nurturing the land at her small ranch in Mexico. Looking ahead, one of her dreams is to create a small surf and meditation retreat on the ranch, combining nature, wellness, and a love for the ocean.
