Chef Jelena
I'm Jelena Perković a 25 year old culinary enthusiast from the capital of Croatia, Zagreb.
My academic journey led me to a master's degree on the faculty of kinesiology, the place that introduced me to the world of sailing. I really loved that experience, so I choose sailing as a specialization when I was on my fourth year of studies. In 2021, I started working on a catamaran as a guide/stew. That position allowed me to combine my love for physical activity and cooking. I quickly adapted to the unique demands of life at sea and became a solo stewardess. I was working as a solo stewardess last two seasons on the Adriatic sea. Mostly on catamarans ( Lagoon 46, Saona 47, Aura 51, Bali 5.4 etc) but also some sailboats and motor yachts. One of intersecting things in 2023 was my participation in "Survivor Croatia“ that was filming in the Dominican Republic. This experience tested my physical and mental resilience and taught me the importance of positive attitude and adaptability. I was taekwondo athlete for 10 years and then 2 years of track & field so I am still living a healthy lifestyle. I am passionate about cooking and continuously seeking new knowledge and techniques in culinary world. I look forward to the opportunity to creating a magical trip for our guests aboard Epiphany!
